Precedent Gear Switch Selector
My young sons ride with me on my cart and several times they have hit the gear selector with their foot and either put the cart in neutral or even reverse one time. This obviously cannot be good for the motor and it is a safety concern.
Can you turn the gear selector switch upside down to protect the switch from being accidentally changed while driving? If it cannot be turned upside down, does anyone make a guard to protect the switch? Thanks, Thomas |

Re: Precedent Gear Switch Selector
i beleive its a one way fit it has a flat spot that has to line up on the shaft that the lever slides onto as for a gaurd?????? i do know they make some aftermarket shifters but you,ll have to look into that.......i take it you have a lever and not the switch.......................................

Re: Precedent Gear Switch Selector
Precedents all have rocker type switch ( IQ ) and so you might turn housing down instead of up but it would be real hard to remember that it switches oppositt? Better yet might be to extend wiring to drivers side dash and keep kids away from control completly?
