Too fast down hills.
We had our 2003 Pathway at the campground this weekend and when we went down any steep hills the cart would gain a lot of speed and you had to keep a foot on the brake! I was lead to believe that the cart would slow itself down but it was full blast. What can I do to fix this? Don't want my wife or kids to have a wreck or roll over.
Thanks!! |

Re: Too fast down hills.
Sounds like you may need to upgrade the brakes or adjust them, were you not able to slow down?

Re: Too fast down hills.
Is the regen working at all or just not much?
Check to see that the speed sensor is seated properly on the rear of the motor and the connections are clean. Regen only slows the cart so much, on steep grades it requires additional use of the brakes. |

Re: Too fast down hills.
sounds like someone might have disabled the reagan braking...........look at the motor in front there is a 3 wire plug make sure the green wire wasn,t cut....if ok than look at the big resistor coil behind the batteries if its there make sure both cables are hooked to the soleniod and the soleniod wires all are hooked up............ now its been quite some time since i lifted the seat on a 2003 pathway so i might be wrong on some of this but don,t worry i,ll be corrected if i am............if that motor has a speed sensor you might want to have it checked also.....i,m not sure if sensor would effect it in that way but who knows.............other than those 2 things theres nothing else that would control downhill speed..................................
