OK this is what I'm starting with
As Ive said probably 100x's on here, I recently bought a 99CC Regen2. I just got the lift on order, Im taking the motor out tomorrow to send to PQ, and I am awaiting a phone call from Scottyb on a controller solenoid and rim/tire set. Let the games begin. I sure hope this goes smoothly. Ill keep pictures coming on this thread as the build progresses.

Hint: take photos before you take things apart so you have a reference when they go back together.
Change things one at a time and check your results before proceeding to the next step. |

Re: OK this is what I'm starting with
I'd do the tires and lift first then test it out.
When it comes time to do the motor and controller the cart will be higher and easier to work on. |

thanks guys. i got my call back from scott yesterday (one of the nicest and most genuine people ive had the pleasure of doing business with). ive got everything on order! its a good thing you guys said list first bc it will all be here before my motor gets back and i dont think i would be able to sit and look at that stuff w/o doing anything. :) im about to go out and take the motor out now. wish me luck.

Re: OK this is what I'm starting with
Dawg, Looks like a decent cart. The front bumper is missing in the pics, not a big deal. Make sure you label all the wires you remove! Remember, two wrenches on the motor wire studs so they don't turn. You are going to have to pretty much remove the rear axle in order to put on the lift kit so If the motor gives you a hard time you can always reome the axle with it attached to give you a lot more working room. Some may disagree but here is my technique for getting to the motor and for working on rear springs. Disconnect motor wires. Jack the back up enough to remove the tires and disconnect the brake cables (this is a good time to check the condition of the brakes too). Lower the cart until the brake drums touch the floor. Remove the rear connections on the leaf springs. Jack the cart up until it is high enough to work under. Put your jackstands in place and now you can safely get to the motor. With the motor off you can now easily work on the springs (rear lift).
