Default Club Car Battery Question

Hello to all new to site and need some insite about Club Car battery. I have a 2000 Club Car with brand new Trojan T-875 batteries. When I replaced the batteries, number One battery had a short. The problem I have now is that when the charger charges the group of batteries, all read in the 9 volt plus range except for number One it has a reading of about 7. Also when charging, the cells bubble in all but number One. Any help greatly appreciated

i would look into exchanging your #1 battery under warranty, sounds like it is deteriorated.

Are you sure you have the charger wires connected correctly? What is the pack voltage and what is the voltage reading at the charger plug (receptacle)?

Scotty,
The battery turns out to be good, the problem was a red wire connected to the charging circuit was not connected to battery number one it was hooked to battery two. Apparently this has an effect on charging because it works well now. Thanks for your help. Randy

Tom,
That is how it came from prior owner, the batteries that were in it when we bought it were probably still ok. Except for bat #1. After moving the wire to the correct location It charged ok and runs even better. I probably could have gotten away with buying one replacement but now it has 6 new T-875's. They should last for a while Thanks for your help. Randy
