Lift kit recommendations for appearance only
Looking for some opinions on a lift kit for pure appearance purposes only. I don't go off-road, always paved road riding my area. I just want to lift the cart 3 - 4 " to give it a different look compared to all the stock carts in my neighborhood. I'm going to paint the canopy black and about to order some XT Innovations seats to change the look at well but still struggling with the lift kit.
I've read all the differences in A-Arm vs. Spindle and just can't decide between All Sports 4" A-Arm and Jakes 3" Spindle. I'd like to keep my current wheels/tires 205-50-10 on the Club Car factory wheel for now, looking at ITP 10" or maybe 12" wheels later. After the appearance upgrades going to get with ScottyB and upgrade the controller before wheels though… gotta keep the priorities in check. This is getting expensive! So what would you guys recommend for appearance only lifts? Thanks! |

Depending on what size tires you add later the 4" ALLSPORT will give you a little more clearance and will be a little showier but I like Jakes spindle lift better for durablity and drive ability? I'm like you for looks only I think to have picked the 2 best choices, which one???????

Thanks for the input thus far. Forgot to ask originally will either kit provide a better ride over the other? The Cart rides pretty good as-is just wondering about body roll really.

A arm will always ride better than a spindle.

Re: Lift kit recommendations for appearance only
ANY LIFT will change the ride because of raising the center of gravity that also effects steering, roll over point, braking pitch, etc

Re: Lift kit recommendations for appearance only
The Jakes spindle lift will ride just fine. It'll look and feel different but the ride will be good. You didn't ask but I'll give my opinion - unless you are going for that hydraulic lowrider look, it will be odd looking with your existing wheels/tires. But, I guess odd looking is still different from everyone else's if that's all you are going for.

Just kidding! I agree with you, it maybe odd looking but I am going to upgrade to 12" wheels and new tires as soon as the budget allows. |

Re: Lift kit recommendations for appearance only
Club Car factory lift kit..... Part number AM10755.... hands down... Not a topic for debate in my opinion. And that's coming from someone with an All-Sports lift kit on my Precedent. That's only for the simple fact that Club Car doesn't make a lift kit for the Precedent. If I had a DS, the factory lift kit is the ONLY lift kit to consider
