Default Advice on wiring access. to a separate 12v battery

Been meaning to get to this but just haven't yet. I have my light kit and my stereo wired to the hot and ground behind the dash. In my cart, there is a blue wire coming off the 4th 12v battery in my pack and a red wire coming off the 1st 12v battery. Are these wires providing the power that I am tapping into behind the dash? I am looking to get a battery box and a small 12v battery (a scooter battery or something similar) and place them in the bagwell behind the supports that hold up my rear seat. What's the easiest way to reroute my 12v power and ground source from where it is now, using stock wiring, to the spare 12v battery?

Gaminde, as far as the wiring at the batteries, yes, that's exactly like mine. When I installed the light kit, one of the steps was to connect a jumper wire between that blue spade connector and somewhere else down around the controller. I assumed that's what made the pre-wired lighting harness "hot" with 12v for my light kit install.

I'm just wondering if there is a way to reroute that 12v hot and ground from battery 4 to a new, separate battery, without having to redo anything behind the dash. And, if not, what do I need to do to get my lights and stereo to the separate battery?

Thanks

Could I pull the wire plugged into the blue 12v pos and wire it to a separate 12v pos on a new battery? If so, is that going to give me 12v to both my lights and stereo? And how do I handle the ground (neg) side?

Yes you can tie the new battery to the blue wire after you disconnect it from #4 battery. The ground should tie into #4 battery ground

I would think about putting acc. battery under dash or somewhere up front. If you put it int the back and have to run wiring past the motor, you will more than likely pick up interference from your motor. The interference will cause an irritating whine when you play your radio. I put an optima deep cycle marine battery under my dash. On precedents there is a 6"x10" pocket in the center of the dash. you can find plenty of AGM batteries to fit in that hole. I have a full blown stereo planned for mine so i decided I needed more juice. All i had to do is cut out the bottom of the pocket and the optima went right in there. Can only see the top 1" of the battery. If you put a dash in you cant see it. Hope this helps>
