After reading thru the owner's manual for my 99, one thing did jump out at me. Besides placing vehicle in TOW mode first, then disconnecting the power pack, it says to turn the key on and place switch into reverse position. Then slowly depress accelerator pedal until reverse warning buzzer totally stops. This process discharges the controller. Obviously there must be a capacitor in the controller of some sort. I wonder if one skips the discharge process, it can damage the controller, besides subjecting one to potential shock?

Let me tell you about mine and it might help you.

I did a 500amp GE conversion controller on my DS and had the same issue.Cart ran well on flat ground but would stop dead on a hill. The coil would heat up and glow to the point that everyone thought i had neons under the cart. The fix was simple. The controller had the regen built into it and the coil had to be taken out of the system.Bypassed the coil and it ran perfect and still is today. hope this helps

oh yeah my obc was bad at the time and still is and has had no effect other than charging

Can you put the old control back in see if it runs? That will tell if it is a controller problem, if it is you can probably have it repaired at FSIP.

Not true... There's two circuits in the OBC. A power/control circuit, and a charging circuit. It's possible for the power/control circuit to fail but still charge. And it's possible for the charging circuit to fail, but still run. In your situation, I strongly believe the power/control circuit in the OBC has failed. That's why your controller won't power up.
