What about a lock smith? If you can remove the tumbler they could cut you a key.

I think what he said was the key has replaced the run/tow switch. The run/tow switch is located on an aluminum board to the rear of the battery pack. The controler is located on the other side of the board with a solenoid and the other electronic stuff.

Agree . . remove entire switch assy and take to locksmith and say "fix" . . .

It can be done very easily... for a locksmith anyway!

Did you ever consider replacing it with a toggle switch? it may be cheaper! ...again...

I just changed mine with a new switch, $10 and 15 minutes and it was done

The Tow/Run switch is just 2 wires... Cut out the key switch and replace with a toggle switch... or... replace with your own key switch. End of your troubles. Look at the top of the pictures to see the original setup of the Tow/Run switch and wire colors.
