Safety Belt
I have a pair of 2007 PRECEDENT Club Car golf carts. GA has a law that takes effect January 1, 2012 that allows golf carts on highways with speed limits of 35 mph, but each cart must have lights and seat belts. I know lights for sure, and I think I read seat belts.
MY QUESTION: On an electric 2007 PRECEDENT where do you drill and attach the seat belt. I called the vendor and he made a big deal about it like I was going to sue him. The seat frame is plastic and that is out. Any advice appreciated. |

Re: Safety Belt
I fabricated and installed brackets for seat belts on my '06 Precedent but don't have any detailed photos handy. I will snap a couple of pics and post them.

(10) Hip restraints and hand holds. That translates to seat belts to me plus grips for passengers to hold on to . . . ?? |

Re: Safety Belt
Steve,
Don't get the floppy seatbelts, as they are very noisy when not in use. Get the retractable ones that have the stiff plastic sleeve and airline style clasp. I have those on the rear seat and I'm sooo glad I put those on Good luck! |

Is this not the handles on the side of the bench seat? I thought they were designed to hold people in the cart. |

Re: Safety Belt
Hey guys, come on back to seat belts. I re read S. B. 240 and it does say "hip restraints". Truthfully, I don't care as I want to put on a seat belt on the passenger side. AND, I did mess up. I bot the non retractable belt. I am glad I only bot one.
Thanks again for comments... |

Re: Safety Belt
who carries the retractable ones. I'm in Ga. and would rather have seat belts, rather than a cop explain to me as I'm getting a ticket, what the law says.
