Default Panel Removal Between Seat for Speakers

I have a club car precedent 06 and there is a plastic panel between the front and rear seat. I appears to have a couple of what looks like latches on it that slide it is where most people mount their speakers. How does this panel or plastic piece come off?? Thanks

Thats where I put the speakers at on my cart. You don't have to remove it to put the speakers in. If its like mine, its part of the bagwell and rear fascia and I decided not to remove it . I was able to put my speakers in by removing the front and rear seat backs, marking and cutting the holes with a jigsaw. To bolt the speakers in, I removed the rear seat and motor access cover. It was fairly easy.

welcome to BGW......the older carts that hatch was just held in with a few screws and it slid right off......yours should be about the same maybe different hardware holding it there,..............thats an access panel to make getting to certain things a bit easier.........watch your carts electrics if you mount anything there...........................

I also have pictures of the speakers mounted where you are looking to mount yours... just click on my signature to view. You do not have to remove that panel to install your speakers either. Like Shadowman states, look underneath to see where the motor wires run before cutting anything.

I too have an 06 Precedent and just installed speakers yesterday in mine in that same spot. I used a Dremel to cut out (2) 5" circles evenly spaced and installed (2) 5.25" weatherproof speakers there. They actually sound really good and they can be heard by the rear passengers. Now I just need to find a way to fabricate something for the stereo. It's just sitting in the glove box for now.

I put mine here:

Speakers sound great but I made sure to get the shallowest mount I could find in a marine grade. I did have to take a dremel and notch out a couple of spots in the battery bay but nothing that would cause any structural issues. That was harder to capture in a photo but here it is:

Between the seats is a cool place but creates a great spot for water to pool up where you wouldn't want it if you happen to let it get caught in the rain or someone has a spill.

ZX, not sure if your glove box would allow this or not, but I bought a universal DIN style radio bottom mount box for around 10 bucks and installed mine that way.
