Charging 48 volt Electric Cart

I have a 2006 Precedent Club Cart with the original Trojan batteries and still holding good charge remarkably. On average I ride the cart 30 minutes to an hour at a time. Do I put charger on batteries after each time I ride or run batteries down before charging? I have the 4 12 volt batteries.

Hey Dog,
Everything I have read on this site and elsewhere says to charge it everytime you park it. I have been following this advice since I have owned my '07. The funny thing is: The dealer I bought mine from, said to always run the batteries down to almost dead prior to charging. Go figure. And they are great people that build some nice carts and appear to know their stuff!

If you run the cart for 20 minutes, and your done with the cart for the day, then yes put it on charge, if the cart sits for two weeks with out use, then charge the cart, keep an eye on the water in the batteries, use distilled water only, and always let the charger finish charging, DO NOT unplug the charger before it is done with the full charge cycle, And NEVER run your batteries below 50%
