Default charging Question

Guys

I have a 2004 CC DS IQ. Just brought it home yesterday. It has new (2 month old) Trojan T-875 8 volt batteries. Put it on the Club Car 48 volt 13 amp charger last night. The charger says 13 amp but the needle and the on switch are marked 15 amp?? Inital draw was around 12-13 amps. It has been 18 hours and it's still charging and drawing around 3 amps but it been on 3 amps for 2-3 hours. Is that normal or should it have charged up and shut itself off? The water level was good in all batteries but i have not tested any yet. It ran real strong yesterday and was doing 15 mph for a good distance and never slowed.. It's set to code 3 I would think. I left it on the charger to see if it would fully charge and shut off. Any feedback if this is normal??

Charger seems to be working as the batteries came down from a 13 amp draw overnite to a 3 amp draw. it's just that is not yet moving off 3 amps...been on now 20 hrs and has not shut off at all or at least not when i have checked on it.

It's a Club Car powerDrive 2 48 volt charger. I just bought the cart yesterday so not sure if it's been messed. Judging from the previous owner who took really nice care of his toys BTW I doubt he fooled with it. I had to take it off the charger a couple hours ago cause i needed to use the cart. It was still on 3 amps. I'll leave it on again overnite and see what happens.

So is the logic to shut off in 16 hours tied in to the charger or the cart?

Thanks

It's back on the charger again so I'll see what happens. Currently been on now for 9 hrs and showing just under 3 amp draw. I may have disconnected it for a few seconds yesterday while charging during that 16 hour cycle. Would that be long enough to reset the 16 hr obc timer? I'll leave it on past 16 hrs without power interupt this time to be certain I was not the cause of the timer not shutting off. Also where are the date stamps on the batteries? I have not removed them but they don't appear to be visible from the top.
