Replacing 80 AMP fuse link
Working on a 2004 DS 36V resistor cart. I would like to know more information about replacing the fuse link at the charge receptacle with an auto parts store fuse. I read somewhere a 175 AMP. Would that be a 12 volt 175 amp at the parts store or ????? I can put in a fuse block or whatever to accomadate a different stlye. Bad diode in the charger popped the fuse link. Spliced it back together and tried a different charger. All worked fine. The original charger was tried again and immediately popped the fuse link again.
Thanks for any help. |

Re: Replacing 80 AMP fuse link
Everything about this post seams incorrect, 2004 ds 36 volt resistor. 80 amps at charge receptacle, charger is good for 15 amps. 2004 iq 48 volt???

Re: Replacing 80 AMP fuse link
by the time you try and rig something for a regular type fuse which in all honesty i don,t know if it will work you,ll be ahead of the game just replacing it with the proper part.................

Re: Replacing 80 AMP fuse link
If you keep blowing the fuse in the front of the charger, the transformer is probably bad.
