Adding a rear flip-seat
I'm looking at adding a rear flip-seat to my "new to me" 2001 CC DS. Are there any issues known problems that I should be considering?
Thanks PS I envy all the parts supplier options you have in the lower 48 |

Re: Adding a rear flip-seat
none that i,m aware of.......where you at canada? alaska? yeah its gonna suck for you shipping but if you buy one it can still be ups,d ........one thing i wouldn,t add is that T-bar that mounts on the footrest right in the center.....that seems to get in the way of people and will save you 75.00 bucks by not buying it that will pay shipping............................

Re: Adding a rear flip-seat
You will need HD rear springs, as far as the roof mounts the ones you have now should work just turn around. Atleat that is what I did on mine.

Thanks for the insight about the springs & possible roof strut issue.

Re: Adding a rear flip-seat
. . . also, depending on which brand of HD springs you buy, you may or may not have an issue reinstalling your rear shocks . . . OEM HD springs will utilize stock shocks . . . my non-OEM HD springs lifted cart to point that stock shocks were too short to be functional . . .

Re: Adding a rear flip-seat
Rocky top carts on ebay sells a rear seat kit with an aluminum cargo bed. Most of the other kits i have looked at have a plastic bed. runs about $330 with shipping and all. Might be worth checking out.

Re: Adding a rear flip-seat
Just went and double checked, the rocky top kit also includes the rear roof supports and is made in the USA.
