Speedy Link Vs. Speed Code 4

I am currently getting 15mph but I would like to get to 19mph and I am looking for safest way to do it. Does anyone have any experience with Speedy Link? My main concern is hurting the batteries or decreasing run time per charge. I like the fact that Speedy Link can be removed if needed and I understand that it disengages the regen. My local CC dealer said he can do speed code 4 for $125 and I can get a Speedy Link through ebay for $115 so cost is about the same. Any input is appreciated.

I definitlely don't have the skills to build anything. Is anyone building and selling the speed fooler 2000? I am willing to pay someone with the skills!

Ok just put a switch on my unit and put my cart into mode 2 I now have great regen breaking for hills and I can switch on the fly for top speed.

Guess I now have a 2 speed cart

That is awesome. Are you getting the top speed by using a speedy link? I am interested in how you did this. Any extra drain on the batteries?

I am not using speedy link, I use one I made
Drain on batteries yes There will be some xtra drain maybe 5mA that's
is .005 amps or less, you could put your cart in tow mode and there will be no drain.

I recently installed a speedylink on my 2005 Precedent and instantly went from 12.5MPH to 19.5MPH (GPS clocked) and much less engine breaking downhill. LOVE IT!!!!

Do you notice any extra drain on your batteries? I would love to get one but they are overpriced. SpeedyLink should sell these for about $75 at the very most. I would be willing to give it a shot if it was cheaper but I will probably go with speed code 4.

same here !! 12.5mph to 20.5 mph and not much more drain on my batterys, It was worth it to me
