87 36v clubcar no go
I have read as much as I can and am getting nowhere.
Everything was working fine until today. Pushed the pedal, buggy went 5 ft and stopped. I have a full charge. I can hear the silonoids clicking. Even tried jumpering them all. I have voltage on both side of the silonoids as I push the pedal. Everything appears fine accept the motor will not turn. Any direction is very much appriciated. |

Re: 87 36v clubcar no go
welcome to BGW......you say appears to be fine? is that from lifting the seat and looking or were you hands on pulling cables and wires to make sure they were good?........did you test battery voltage? load test batteries? you only need one battery even a new one to drop under load and you,ll sit there not moving.........check your cables going to motor..........how old are batteries and you say full charge because you put charger on until it stopped?......get a voltage meter and check voltage of each one and load test each one...........................

Re: 87 36v clubcar no go
pulled cables and ohmed wires. Charger charges for an hour or so and then kicks off. Most of the battery cables are new.
I only have 1 new battery. I don't know the age of the rest. The odd thing is, it was running fine. I have not load tested the batteries. Each of them are over 6 v. Thanks for your reply. |

What can I use to load test them? The motor, Car amp or stereo?

Re: 87 36v clubcar no go
no you need either a battery load tester or if you have a digital voltage meter you can tape or secure the probes to battery terminals and than press your pedal down watch meter and see what it drops to....write starting # and # it drops to while pedal is pressed.......if your not sure about #,s post them.........do this to each battery and again to get entire pack voltage................................

I got 2 new batteries. All batteries now show 6.6 VDC and up when the pedal is pressed. The motor will still not turn. Should I ohm out the motor?

Re: 87 36v clubcar no go
I just checked the solenoid on the driver side by pressing the pedal and checking continuity (good) and I have 44 volts on both sides of it.
