Default Can I recharge spare batt with accessories hooked up?

Going to be adding a spare battery to my cart next week and rewiring my lights and stereo to it. Can I just clip a charger to it when I want to charge the battery and leave the accessories hooked up, or should I disconnect those when I have a charger plugged in?

I would just put a sw to the battery you are now feeding off of and charge the spare battery with the rest of the pack. flip the switch to off when running. Or you could use a relay to do it automatically if you wish. sure charge away you could make sure everything is turned off if you wish

No need to disconnect anything. Do you disconnect anything under the hood of your car when you need a jump or need to charge the battery?

The "Salt Life" represents a lot of things to me, but yeh blue water fishing is one of them. It's also a chair in the sand and a cold one in my hand.

I realize, based on some answers, it was probably a stupid question but I wanted to make sure I wouldn't be messing something up. Anytime I've charged a battery using a charging device, other than what is onboard the vehicle, I take the battery out and put a charger on it. But, based on where I'm putting the battery on the cart, it won't be practical to remove it and replace it everytime I want to charge it. Again, just making sure.

Thanks

I hear you on that one brother! Toes in the water, a$$ in the sand...cold beer in my hand... only way to live. Where you located? I do a lot of both offshore and inshore coastal fishing on the LA/MS Gulf Coast.

I'm in Eastern NC. Fish mostly out of Morehead City and, occasionally, Cape Hatteras. Prefer offshore but often have to go quite a ways to find the blue water. Will stay inshore if the right bite is on. Make an annual trip every December to the Eastern Shore/Chesapeake Bay for some Striper (Rock) fishing.
