Default Installing Club Car LIGHTS--2007 PRECEDENT

I bot the Premium Precedent Light Kit. All was going well until the brake light switch. I have the floor off, pedals out, and for the life of me I cannot figure where the hell this switch goes. The photo instructions are less than desirable. Any help appreciated...

You've probably got a Gen2 pedal group which requires a pressure pad brake switch. Is the brake pedal straight up out of the pedal box or is it off-set?

The brake pedal is offset to the left about 30 degrees. IT IS NOT straight up??????

David:
Thank you for your response. I was on the telephone first thing this morning and spoke to an engineer who forwarded me updated instructions regarding my kit install. Still able to use the same switch with a little grinding, sweating and swearing. I will appreciate the brake lights when I finish.

Part of my install problem is understanding the simple fact that the brake light switch is on when to me, the switch is open,if that makes sense.

Also, I sent you a PM. Please reply and give me the name of your dealer so I can order a maintenance manual and some other parts. My local CC dealer is just starting and I have problems when I go to order--anything.

Thanks again, and truthfully, I am glad I can make my switch work without having to bleed the master cylinder, etc. RAM

Headlights, turn signals, four way flashers, brake lights and horn -- all work. I have another cart to put lights on. Presumably 2nd time easier. I am sure some have done it quickly, but, IMHO, a big job, to do it right!

Now I have to reassemble...

I'm not a paid site sponsor. I can't advertise on here. However, Neither I, or anyone else can tell you to where to buy parts from either. It's all your choice, but let me be the first to recommend buying from one of the site sponsors.

David:

I never even thought about it. But I guess we have mechanical brakes, at least from what I have seen so far. When I first received your info above about part number "103597101 - Brake light pressure switch" I GOOGLED exactly what you said, and somehow I got info about hooking up that part to a master cylinder which is obviously BS, at least from the two cables I saw in the brake box.

After I read that I kept calling the vendor I purchased the CC light kit from and finally got to their engineering department and they emailed me the instructions for the offset brake pedal set up.

I am complete and all works. I still have to reinstall the floor board cover and rubber matting. HOT here in GA.

Thanks again for your help.

Yes it's very hot here in GA.... Heat index of 120 in the shop right now actually. Did you take pics of how you made the old school brake light switch work with the Gen2 pedal group?
