Default lighting off of 16v

can i safely connect my two 55w 12v wallmart fog lights to a 16v powersource (2 batteries)?

is there already a 12v output that can handle 110w on my 2002 cc ds IQ 48v?

here is what I would try
1 hook one to one battery check brightness
2 hook two in series to two batteries should be same brightness

if 1 and 2 are same brightness then

3 hook two in series to 3 batteries they will share the 24 volts @ 12 each and be brighter than above

You could also just run a dedicated 12v battery. That's what I decided to do. Hooked it up this week - works great!

The bulbs are 12v. Measure the voltage ANYWHERE in your proposed circuit and tell me what it is.

remember I said series so two 12 volt bulbs in series is 1, 24 volt bulb so yes measure the voltage and that's correct.

example below is a motor coach that did this and its just an example

Headlight Wiring - 12-Volt Lights on a 24-Volt System

Early MCI coaches used 24 volt bulbs for all the exterior lights, including the headlamps. During the mid 1980's the 24 volt headlamps were replaced on the MC-9 coaches with 12 volt headlamps, beginning at unit 34901. By wiring the headlights in series, 12-volt lights will operate with a 24-volt system.
