Choosing the right year cart?
New guy questions here...I am trying to figure out which CC to buy.
I'm starting the shopping process for a cart and am wondering which year of electric Club Car I should try to stick to that would enable me to make easy and affordable modifications to, or needs the least from the beginning. I plan to add a lift kit with tires and wheels, and a back seat. I want to do other mods in time, but would prefer to keep the electonics simple. I have a fairly steep incline from my boat dock up to the house, but it is a paved street. I will take it to lake resorts with me and the one we frequent has a pretty steep gravel drive also. I am leaning toward the 2000 models since they are available for $1500 with new batteries in my area while the 2005s are $2400 with original batteries. Any tips and advise is appreciated! Doug |

Re: Choosing the right year cart?
welcome to BGW.......i would suggest anything from 1999 to 2003 48 volt the DS cart, you can still upgrade it but its the easiest to work on...............and by 99 it seems all the OBC bugs were worked out......just a suggestion......................

Re: Choosing the right year cart?
Thanks Shadowman. The less I pay for it, the more I can trick it out! I have found a few new and used dealers in town so I will check them out. There seem to be an abundance of 2005 and newer models for sale right now. What is the difference between the DS and Precedent? Are those the only 2 models?
