slow going up inclines

hi i have a 1974 caroche
I have changed batteries, wires still has problems with inclines should i change 36 volt solenoid has 4. Can these be changed out to 48volt, plus can is it possible to wire in a BATTERY INDICATOR METER

you can,t put 48 volt soleniods in it......how slow is slow? all elec carts slow down on uphill inclines its the nature of the beast but if it is something that just started where its getting slower......you said new batteries did you break them in right? and yes you can wire a battery meter to the cart as for how that depends on how you want it to work........................

hi thank you for answer i bought 1 new battery because post burned out and all batteries load test at golf cart store they were checked and approved at corrrect voltage with load. slow as slow peoplo can walk by me going up in cline and that is with 2 people on about 400 lbs. I replaced all battery wires with new ones bought cart an knew nothing about them guy told me cart was not older than mid 80's i found out differ.

sorry i wrong read about sels my 2 youngest talking to me while trying to read. So if i change to new 36v sels and bar may make a difference?

I would like to know when batteries are getting low. I was told just to plug in all the time when not using, we use this cart for camp grounds . I am lookking for another cart but hope to find newer. I am a family of 8 we make a lot of round trips at camp grounds. So this way we will have to carts no round trips lol.

how many soleniods? if its multi soleniod like 5 of them you need to make sure all are working.....i,m not filmilar with that old of a cart if its a carahochi but there are guys who are..........but if you have more than 1 soleniod than you,ll have a master soleniod and than speeds if ant of the speeds arn,t working that will effect it going up inclines................................

You should ALWAYS charge your batterys after each use to give your batterys max life and performance. There are so many factors including old style Caroche controls and 36 volts compared to 48 volts that can cause you to not get good speed nor hill climbing ability. Another thing is adding new with old batterys will cause your charger to ruin your new battery as it will over charge the new one trying to bring weak old batterys to full charge. Motor condition and differential condition as well as brake drag and wheel bearing lubrication and condition, How much weight and wind resistance also make a big difference. Remember that golf carts were made for 2 passengers, 2 golf bags, mostly flat ground with very short minor hills on a golf course.

wow 8 of you than maybe you should look for a 3 seater...........and maybe a gas job....SHHHHHHH i,ll be hung for saying that word here.....................
