05 precedent 12v question
i have an 05 cart with what i believe is factory lights. behind the dash is a wiring harness that is not attached (about 1 inch square with about 9 wires)and i am reading 12 volt power here and have 2 wires not used behind the head lights that read 12 volt as well. my question is does my cart already have a convertor built in and can i tap in to this harness with a 12 volt outlet. is there a fuse on that system. cart does not have any turnsignals. just want a dome light and maybe plug in a GPS or charge a cell phone. maybe a q-beam.

Re: 05 precedent 12v question
Is your cart a 4x12v setup? If so, is there a blue wire on the positive post of the 4th battery (the one closest to the front on the passenger side)? Is it plugged into anything? If it is, that is likely what is feeding your 12v. If not, it could very well be coming from a reducer somewhere.
Figure that out before adding in more stuff. If you are pulling off that 4th battery, you are putting extra strain on that battery and adding more accessories will make it worse. I had mine wired that way and the juice just didn't last long enough. I just rewired to a dedicated spare battery and life is much better now. |

Re: 05 precedent 12v question
I added lights to one and the nine wire plug in already allows for 12v lights.
