Default battery cable question

my battery cables are very stiff and the ends are correded so i figures its time for a new set. I went ahead and bought the 4 guage battery cables as well as 4 gauges for the neg and positvie posts. will i see any benifit of the 4 gauge over the stock 6 gauge? do i need to run 4 gauge all the way to the motor? if so, how much wire is that and is it worth it? thanks! Nick

If you do not change all of the 6ga to 4ga any 6ga cable in the mix will be the weak link

yeah scott i read that but he said he only had battery cables and from his post asking about how much wire he needed i figured i,d mention a set that one of the members sells already made....... scotty sells a complete set for the cost of a 50 ft roll of 4 gage cable that is 1/2 the quailty.....................................
