Potentiometer Adjustment
Does anybody know how to adjust a potentiometer? I have a 1996 DS 48v. It is just the plain pot, not MCOR or v glide. Thanks

Re: Potentiometer Adjustment
The pot units are not adjustable other than travel through linkage. If you still have the original stock unit that is under drivers seat and has accelerator shaft running through it is only available through after market suppliers. If you have 2nd style of accelerator pedal shaft with large return spring you can convert to late model MCOR control?

Re: Potentiometer Adjustment
Throw it in the trash and get an MCOR conversion kit. PotBox = CRAP!

Re: Potentiometer Adjustment
Well, I thought my battery cables would come in today, but they didn't. I will post the readings as soon as I can.

Re: Potentiometer Adjustment
We don't need no stinking battery cables
The pot needs no power to work. It is a 2 wire output. Set the DVM to 20k ohms & connect the leads one to each wire. ohm meter should read 0 or close to it. As you press the gas the meter should steadily rise to 5000 ohms. |
