Default Charging Multiple 48v Carts

We run our hunting camp on a 15kW Diesel Generator. In as much I would like to charge up to 6 each 48v golf carts at a time. I plan to run a seperate dedicated line from the generator to a stand alone breaker panel (each charger having its own dedicated breaker). What size service (main breaker) do I need overall and what size should the individual breakers be? Thanks for any imput.

Each CC charger needs a dedicated 15 or 20 amp circuit/outlet . . .

Assuming AC power equal to standard 110 VAC you will need a 100 amp main supplied with a 2g wire and Six(6) 20 amp sub breakers feeding 6 separate outlets each on it's own on 12g wire direct from its breaker. Plug the carts in one at a time. Let each charger get started before plugging in the next... In design try to keep your 12g runs short as possible. Maybe set the main panel in the center and 3 outlets left and right of it? Do not tag one out let off of another. Each outlet must be wired back to the main panel for trouble free use.

They need about 8 amps each at the highest charge rate of 15 amps so will they be started at the same time or staggered

Maybe a sub pannel would be best 220 @ 60 to 75 amps then you could make charge stations.

You are right 220 would be best. I was thinking generator, not GENERATOR. But 15K is big.
Somebody better be an electrician to set this up with proper grounding etc.

the NEC specifies the requirements for generators. right click, save as==> NFPA 70 ( NEC 2008 ) *127.4Mb*

i agree with scotty... if you are insistent on doing this yourself, at a minimum, have a electrician go over your work prior to firing anything off. at 15KW, one little mistake could be VERY costly / LETHAL!
