Default regen braking

I have a 2002 electric club car (IQ-REGEN). Everything works fine except there is no braking when I go down a hill. The person I bought it from has never used it on a golf coure. He had it at the lake for local transportation. My question is, can this feature be turned off or de-selected in the computer? I have read that if the regen system is working, you should hear a selonoid click when the key is on and you move the switch from tow to run. When I do this I do not hear anything click in. I am 60 miles away from the nearest dealer, Is there any way I can check this or change the setting by myself? Thanks for any info on this subject.

Hello...........
There is no solenoid click when switching from Run to Tow.............

Yes, all IQ carts are programable and only with a hand programer...............

All IQ carts are Regen but not all REGEN carts are IQ models.

There are many functions where an IQ cart can be programed. The IQ's are more sought after because of their programing capabilities than the Plain Regen. Yes, it will have to go to a shop where there is a programer available, unless someone comes to you with a programer.
