Default OBC pricing/sources

I've pretty much come to the conclusion that the OBC on one of my '98 48vs needs replaced. The charger hangs on 5 amps and boils out the batterieswithout turning off. The batteries, while old, do test out as fairly good without shorts and charge correctly in my other cart. (another 1-2 years life left) Likewise both of my chargers work correctly. I'm just wondering what a ball park price is for an OBC and who's the best source for one. I've tried resetting it using the method in the sticky, but no change in the charge status. I'm tryin to sell this one off and would like it to go in good working order, even if i can find a working used one.

With the charger plugged in if you step on the accelerator with the key on does the cart move?

If yours is one in the 200 dollar range, you might look at replacing your charger with an aftermarket charger and eliminate the obc

Let me suggest the Dual-Pro 48v/18a charger, or the Delta-Q charger. Dual-Pro is my first choice, but DQ is adequate.

THank you for the replies.
Tried the above, and no, it doesn't move. I've been busy with my project s list, this got put on the back-burner for awhile, but I really want to get this cart into a condition I'm comfortable with (charges without worry) in order to sell it. Don't want to drop any more money into it.
