Default power drive charger

I have 2003 club car ds.....When I plug it in to Power drive charger to charge the needle goes to 20 for about a min. and then trips the botton on front of charger any ideas? This is my 1st cart and I know nothing at all bout them!!!

if theres nothing wrong with the cart and no work was done to it before this and it just started........have the diodes checked......1 of the 2 might have went bad.......................if so when you replace them replace the breaker with it...............................

Ok I got a good charger from a buddy and it did the same thing, so it must be in cart. So anybody have any idea where to start?

PowerDrive (17930) or PowerDrive2 (22110)??? I'll tell ya how to check it, just let me know which charger it is. I realize you said "PowerDrive" but an 03 should have a PD2

Batteries are less than a year old, I was told. I did have to add water 2 all of them. and I think it is the powerdrive 17930.....It has a breaker on the front of it I dont think the pd2 does....or does it?

What code is stamped on the negative terminal of your batteries? Should be something like 0A, or 9F, etc . . . that represents the manufacture year/month . . .

Yes all of the 48 Volt Club Car chargers have circuit breakers.

Well if you tried a known good charger and that charger is doing the same thing I think I would try OBC reset
