Default 400 amps and wires to match

Hi Guys,
Because I have the buggy bug, my next upgrade will be a 400 amp controller for my '07 Precedent. My oem 6G cables are in perfect condition and I don't want to waste money. With that said, can I use my 6g cables safely, or are 4G cables required to carry all those amps?

Does anyone know from expeirence what 400 amp controller is a good choice for my cart, and what did it do for you, over the stock one? I'm looking for more torque, as my top speed is great . I don't need an adjustable one.

Thanks,
Steve

would you buy a Big Gulp and attempt to drink it through a coffee straw?

@sj- I get your point. With that logic, I should buy 2g cables. At what point are large wires over kill? My point was to save money

2AWG is a good choice imo. you won't ever have to worry about your cables being the bottleneck in your system unless you're building a super duper drag cart. good cables DO make a noticeable difference. its money well spent.

2/0 (00) is what i would consider the practical threshold for wire size in a cart. my 2¢ fwiw.
