charge meter wire routing 07 Precedent
Hi all - my first post and, surprise, it's a question. Just got our first cart (07 Precedent) in Boston Ga to use around town (one stop sign on a wire town). Have a lifetime of electronics and wiring but not on golf carts. Just wanted to ask the best physical routing from the 48V battery terminals to the back of the dash for a charge meter. Will add lights and flip seat for which there are more than numerous detailed instructions on line. I know where the 2 simple wires go - just asking where you should physically route the wires. I see the tap offs for 12V lights etc but it seems you have to add them to the battery for a meter. Thanks in advance and thanks for all I've read here.

Re: charge meter wire routing 07 Precedent
hmmm - from reading other posts - am I to understand that when I remove the dash (which I have not yet done) that there will be 2 factory harness wires ready to use for a charge meter ?

In a Precedent... Yes! And do yourself a favor and get a Datel Meter, 2 wire. It's the best for your needs!

Re: charge meter wire routing 07 Precedent
Ed,
I installed a Datel digital meter that I got from Scotty B. He is one of the site sponsors. Using the two wires behind the dash, it is a very simple install. Works like a charm and is very accurate. Bob |

Re: charge meter wire routing 07 Precedent
I just put lights, turn signals, brake lights, horn and flashers on my 2007 48 V Precedent. Amazing how everything is pre wired, almost! But the really hard stuff is plug and play. A little scary with a hole saw at the back for access to tail lights and turn lights wires, but, following directions, I fished 'em out.
