Default new batts and charger wont charge, charger works on other carts

I put a thread on here the other day about how the light comes on for 4 , then off, then on for 24 sec. New batts, cables good, fuse on charge receptical on cart good, 48 volt, silver standard. Charger works on 2 other carts. All had been working well but the charger won't charge cart. I tried checking the wires coming out of the back of the receptical, seems good. fuses good, .....Any ideas? is there an onboard regulator for charging that I am missing? Something blown?? Thanks!! Like I said everything works well on the cart-forward,reverse,lights,blinkers,radio,break lights. Just won't charge.

Hook your meter to the back of the charge receptacle note voltage plug charger in note voltage.
Hook your meter to the battery pack note voltage plug charger in note voltage.

Will do. Thanks. By battery pack you mean the charge across all six batteries?before and after charger being plugged in.

Nope, nothing. But when I plug into other carts, slight pause then starts charging. I am on the way to do the tests you recomended.

Ok then this is different than what I read

from the charger receptacle follow the grey wire, this goes to the OBC there should be a rubber boot @ the OBC pull it back and the grey wire should plug in there. Unplug the grey wire and touch it to the neg. terminal of the pack last battery, this is with the charger plugged in, the charger should kick on and start to charge.

let me know what happens

45v across the batt bank before and after plugged in.
couldnt find a spot to get a reading on the back of the
charging receptical. The obc on my ride is kind of hard to get
to but I will do what you recomend and report back. When I put the switch
to drive the light stays on for 4 sec and then off and back on for 20 sec.
By the way what does an obc cost? Many thanks....

If your cart is a 90's something then it may be better to purchase a new charger which would replace both the obc and the charger.

Im sorry but the first two tests were not good tests, the way I read the post was it would not charge, I should have of asked if it was even coming on, I took it for granted when you said it worked on another cart. This grey wire test will tell us everything we need to know, OBC or Cart wiring.

I ran a jumper from the receptical side to #6 neg. Plugged in and nothing happened. But the charger does work on other carts. Should I try jumping the black wires inside of the charger?
