Default 03 Pathway brake lights

Searched high and low for some info on this, I purchased cart with lights and tail lights. It has been reconditioned. When I turn on the head lights, the brake lights are stuck. Both filliaments are on. I noticed this after my lens covers had melted. I do not need brake lights, but would like the running lights at night. I tried a single element bulb, same thing. It is way to hot. I am assuming the person who installed the lights has wired them wrong. The brake switch under the cart by the break pedal arm is not wired. There is not a second switch behind the pedal. I am not sure who made the lights, if there is a place to see that, let me know. For now, I just pulled the bulbs as seriously, without the cover, the tail lights are almost as bright as the headlights. Other than rewiring the whole thing, any quick ideas or solutions?

Default Re: 03 Pathway brake lights

welcome to BGW my advice would be to just rewire them correct and be done with it..............if its a 48 volt cart and lights are that bright they may not have a 48 to 12 volt reduce in it which makes the lights brighter....they may also have it grounded wrong and thats what it sounds like if the rear are staying on...........i don,t know but if it were me i think i might start from scratch and do it right.............................
