Charger Output in Volts
Ok I have read the manual and have seen posts of 63 volts from a CC charger, I have had people test there chargers with no load, doing the relay jumper test, and getting 56 volts. I myself took my charger apart and did this test 54.6 volts. I would like anyone else who takes there charger cover off to test the voltage, this is with no load ( just meter leads on plug). I just don't see these chargers getting to 63 volts, especially when they can't get there with no load.
??????? also If you have had bad diodes and did this test post your bad diode voltage results. |

Re: Charger Output in Volts
if you get a chance sometime can you pull the cover off and jump the charger and give us a reading for no load

Re: Charger Output in Volts
If you get a chance can measure your charger with no load. At least we will know what to tell people when were helping them with there chargers.

Re: Charger Output in Volts
what is the RMS on the mains?
are you taking these measurements as your charger shares a 50' extension cord with a 500W halogen? maybe the OBC has a boost converter? are the rectifier diodes stock? -sj |

Re: Charger Output in Volts
I could have minimum voltage at the Mains that would answer a lot of other questions around here.
110 to 113 vac that was a good thought and would explain lots. |

Re: Charger Output in Volts
" AC voltage: 105-128 VAC (acceptable range) "
i assume that transformer is 2:1 so 52.5 to 64VDC minus voltage drop from the diodes. sounds about right. i wonder how the OBC handles variations in input voltage??? or maybe it is only interested in current and time??? -sj |
