So why did you set max current 80 percent, 100 percent should be fine as long as you're not in a stall condition. And by the way club car connections on the battery cables there called inline fuses.

Looks fine, just play with the settings until the performance is where you like it.
Agree with gaminde though, set it at 100% output unless you have a reason not to. |

Re: REVIEW my Alltrax 500 programming --PLEASE
tech support at alltrax said that my STOCK CLUB CAR precedent motor... will not take over 400 amps very well and possibly over heat ....support suggested I leave it at 80%.
however i'm not happy with 80 ...cause one you reduce the output the TURBO setting will not kick in....according to tech also they told me the wire size going from controller to motor is more important than battery to battery.... if i want i can upgrade ( when i get a purple bandit ) the motor cable to #2 while leaving the batteries on #4 ...... have any of you guys set it to 100% output with the stock motor ( i want to spin wheels and kick up rocks at my friends) these are tech support's recomendations max current 80% under volts 32 over volts 55 throttle up 10 throttle down 5 break current 65% ( if you cannot get enough breaking by moving the setting up to 100% then check "PLUG BREAK" --a form of regenerative breaking and reduce % back down) top speed 100% throttle response ---custom which is just a form of linear all other throttle response settings ( s-curve,progressive,inductive ) are ment for elderly or handicapped people who have trouble with foot control INTERESTING NOTE.....to check gas pedal for full throttle....lift up both rear wheels....turn on key...press pedal full to floor and look at color of "LED" on controller should turn yellow or orange |

Bruce its not smart to replace a good motor, so turn it up too 100% and burn that puppy up.

Re: REVIEW my Alltrax 500 programming --PLEASE
do you fan cool yours..... maybe i could somehow put FINS on the motor...
or just wear my antigravity boots when i use my cart.... all kidding aside i dont want to worry about motor heat with normal use. Fins on the motor might be an option though.....wonder if Loews or Home DOPE-O has radiator add on Fins I would Like to hear from people who have a stock motor with replacment controllers. |

Well you will either listen to alltrax tech support or not, if your not happy at 80% then turn it up, and possibly burn up your motor, then you will be motivated to get the bandit.

MY PROGRAMMING UPDATE
the custom "THROTTLE RESPONSE" setting produced a jerkey acceleration. so i switched to "linear" However the "MCOR" only goes from about 6k down to 1.4k....and not to full "ZERO" ohms.... removed the pedal assemble and found no possible adjustment possible.... upon calling ALLTRAX rich explained to me that i needed a special cutom file for the throttle response because he knows that there is a condition with the cc micors that do not allow for 100% throttle when you floor the acc pedal. the new file he sent me should allow for 100% throttle when the pedal is pushed to only 95% down.... will install this weekend .... THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES |
