Default New radio and speaker tube install

I just finished installing my kenwood radioand speakers in my cart. I went with a dash mount and speaker tube on rear seat. Sounds very good I just think I need a bigger 12 volt battery. I used a four wheeler batt and put it in the battery tray. I still have to paint my speaker tube black and put my fighting tigers stickers on it.

Looks good! I'm going to be installing my radio soon and was curious why you chose to install a separate battery. Would it harm the cart's battery pack if you used it for the radio's power source? I was going to hook up mine the same way my winch is powered up, which is hot coming from the positive post on battery #5 within the pack and negative to a "ground panel", all via a breaker. I was planning to wire the radio just like the winch, with the exception of replaing the breaker with an inline fuse. I'm actually not using a radio, but rather a bass tube like yours with a small amp mounted inside the tube and a headphone jack to plug in an ipod as the source. Will that make any difference? Thanks.

They say if you use your carts batt pack it drains the batteries you are using and when it charges your pack it over charges the rest of the batteries. Which will ruin them over time. Now you can get a 36 or 48 volt reducer and that will pull juice off of all the batteries. You can go to youtube and search speaker tubes on atv and see how they are made using the setup you are talking about.
