Default CC charger

I have a 2003 CC Series cart. Am I correct that it does NOT have an OBC and charger decides when the charging cycle is done?

Raise the seat & look directly under the Drivers side, below the seat "back". It will be whitish to tan rectangle mounted to the frame verticly about 10 inches wide by 6 inches tall, has a hole in it in which a large cable runs through. If it has this, you have an OBC.

The obc is basically the intelligence side of the charging system. Prior to the appearance of the obc the charger read the battery pack to determine how much charge and for how long it would need. When it read a fully charged system it would turn off. Basically the manufacturer has taken the brain out of the charger and put it in the cart. Result is that only late model CC chargers work with late model CC carts.
A pretty dumb idea IMHO.
