Default Just got shocked!!

I was hooking up my motor after flipping the axle and got shocked. Man it left a blister on 2 fingers! Can this actually do any damage to me?
Also, I cant get the cart to move. If I spin the tires and hit the gas it will go, but if the tires arent moving and I hit the gas the cart wont do anything. I think my brakes might be too tight, but I cant get them to loosen up.

By the way....this is a 48vlt cart with new batteries.

It is an 02 or 03 and it has the f/r switch (toggle type) and it does have a run-tow switch. No lift (yet).

was it in run or tow when this happened? and even though new batteries have you went over cables and batteries to make sure they are all ok.......i hope its not to late but you must always put it in tow before you do anything........they are real touchy about that and most cases it wipes out the controller........................................

I have made sure everything is tight. I am hoping it is just the brakes. I guess I am going to have to take it to a local repair shop and let him look at it.

They turn by hand. But unless they are already spinning, they wont turn when I give it throttle.

gxrfan.... Did you disconnect the battery pack before removing the motor leads? I can't see how you'd get a shock with the pack disconnected...

Unfortunately no, because I really didn't realize I was going to have to remove the wires until it was too late.
