Default 5-0 & 0-5 Throttle swap

Stupid question,

Can't you just swap 2 wires going from the MCOR to a controller to make it a 5-0 or a 0-5 throttle?

The reason I ask is because my cart is a 03 DS series 5-0 throttle mcor? but I can get a good deal a series controller that on works with 0-5 throttle input.

Thanks,
Steve

It should work if you switch the purple wire that goes to the B-(negative) terminal on the controller with the green wire that goes to the spade terminal #2 on the controller. I did this by mistake when I converted my 2000 DS from V-Glide to MCOR. You can try it on your cart with your present controller, make sure one of the rear wheels is off the ground because it will go from flat out to slow as you depress the throttle.
