Default Batteries draining faster than expected

I have a 98 CC DS 48 volt. It has an AXE 4855 with 4 gauge cables and a Plum Quick motor. I installed an hd solenoid and F/R switch. The tires are 23". Also, I put new Trojan T-875 batteries in July.

My batteries are charging to 51.4 volts. After a 15 minute ride the voltage is down to 50 volts. My top speed is 21, which seems slow compared to others with similar setups.

I've already replaced the cables once with another set of 4 gauge cables. I contacted Alltrax because the throttle was only showing a max of 96%. Their firmware upgrade corrected that. None of the cables, solenoid or f/r switch feel warm but the motor is hot enough that you can't leave your hand on it for very long.

Is there something else I should be looking for or should I call PQ next?

Thanks,

Doug

Performance sounds about right for your setup to me? What size are those tires? 23? What were you expecting?

Well, from what other people are saying, they are getting 24-25mph.

Thanks,

Doug

I am concerned about that too. I was just listing all of the symptoms. The biggest concern is the battery voltage dropping fast.

Thanks,

Doug

Which PQ motor do you have?
When you are talking about 3 mph difference between carts with similar components, the difference could be in the rest of the cart. Tire width and air pressure factor in, brake and bearing drag, differential gear resistance, windshield and roof configuration, fender flares, all these things figure in a little bit. They can all rob a mph here and there.

It's a bandit motor.
