Default 96' Club Car rebuild??

I got a 1996 Club Car from a friend. The person he got it from removed the motor, the controller, the battreries, the cables, the F/R switch, the solenoid and the charging plug. Maybe some more stuff, I don't know what im looking at. He was going to convert it to gas or something. It has the ignition switch and accelerator pedal. I was looking for a cart to upgrade into a hunting buggy. I figured I would have to throw most of this stuff away anyhow. Is their anyway to tell what I have, with all this stuff missing? Does it matter? What would be the best way to proceed? Would it be easyer or cheaper to switch it to EZGO electronics? If so, what parts would I need?

welcome to BGW............if all that is gone by the time you replace it all you might be able to find a cart close to the price.......on the lower dash area in the center there should be a tag the 1st 2 #,s are the year if its older than a 1995 than it was a 36 volt cart if its newer than a 2001 than its a 48 volt cart anything in between it could be either.......i,m not sure what else is in there that would let you know if they took everything out........is there anything left? how about a charger?.......................

If I bought one that was already running, wouldn't I need to replace most of the things that I am missing anyway? I don't want a stock cart. I'm looking to have 6" of lift 22" or 23" tires and lots of torq for hunting. No charger. I have the plastic part of the charge socket, It had 3 terminals. On the frame under the body next to the dash it has 48 written in black sharpie.

Thanks on the engine offer, but i want it to be electric so I can be super quiet. If I stick with this cart, I plan on running 8 - 6 volt batteries, 500 amp controller, heavy duty solenoid and F/R switch. I would also run 4ga wires. I think I will nees a wiring harness or make my own. I'm not sure what else I may need to get it going.

it seems its a 48 volt cart......with everything you want to do along with everything thats missing your gonna be spending a few grand or more maybe even 3 grand......if thats the case for that kind of money you can find a cart done......i see them on craigslist alot already upgraded and lifted anywhere from 3 to 4 grand but thats up you only you know whats going to make you happy................................
