Default cart will always move in reverse

hey Guys my cart will always move in reverse, however it does not move in forward, sometimes doesnt move at all, what is this. i am very new to carts, thanks

welcom to BGW, need more info.....36 or 48 volt? what year? what model? how did problem start? was anything done to it before hand or any mods to it................................

Thanks for responding, I purchased the Club Car used, so the best I can tell it is a 48v( round plug in for charging) and it is a 1998, I have not been able to tell what model it is. As far as i know there have not been any modifications. The problem started by every once in in while the cart would not go forward and I would move the controller from F to R and it would finnally go, now it just will not go in F. I truly appreciate the help

Please provide first portion of serial number . . that will tell model/year of cart . . .

A = Club Car DS Electric
98 = 1998
41 = Build week
