Default F/R Switch Bus Bars

Is it possible to upgrade the F?R switch for higher amperage by replacing the bus bars with higher capacity ones? If so, where can I get them?

You can get them for about $9 each. You need 2 of those and also the 4 contact studs as well for about $3 each.
I'm sure most of the sponsors here should have them, if you don't see them ask for them.
If you can't find any google "ezgo forward and reverse parts".

I don't know anybody who sells HD CC buss Bars ... I guess you could get some thicker bar stock and make your own if you are good at that sort of stuff

you can make your own. the example in the photo is probably twice as thick as it needs to be. i had to get thinner nuts to accommodate.

Looks like copper. I have a 48V 96 Club Car with a speed kit installed. The bus bar burned in half the other day. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Anytime you have resistance in the amperage flow it causes heat. If the F&R can not conduct the amperage drawn it will heat to the point of melting. They do sell HD F&Rs for CC. This is preferred because all of the contacts and housing are new to better stand up to the draw, imho.

The kit came with a heavy duty F/R switch. It has been running fine for almost 5 years. I removed the F/R switch and cleaned it thoroughly and it had minimal
wear. It had been working in forward but not reverse. Now I get nothing in either.
