F/R Switch Bus Bars
Is it possible to upgrade the F?R switch for higher amperage by replacing the bus bars with higher capacity ones? If so, where can I get them?

Re: F/R Switch Bus Bars
You can get them for about $9 each. You need 2 of those and also the 4 contact studs as well for about $3 each.
I'm sure most of the sponsors here should have them, if you don't see them ask for them. If you can't find any google "ezgo forward and reverse parts". |

Re: F/R Switch Bus Bars
I don't know anybody who sells HD CC buss Bars ... I guess you could get some thicker bar stock and make your own if you are good at that sort of stuff

Re: F/R Switch Bus Bars
you can make your own. the example in the photo is probably twice as thick as it needs to be. i had to get thinner nuts to accommodate.

Re: F/R Switch Bus Bars
Looks like copper. I have a 48V 96 Club Car with a speed kit installed. The bus bar burned in half the other day. Any ideas on what could cause this?

Re: F/R Switch Bus Bars
Anytime you have resistance in the amperage flow it causes heat. If the F&R can not conduct the amperage drawn it will heat to the point of melting. They do sell HD F&Rs for CC. This is preferred because all of the contacts and housing are new to better stand up to the draw, imho.
