Default 94 club car ds

Bought a 94 ds today for hunting. I believe it is a resistor cart. I will have to replace the batteries very soon along with upgrading the cables. My question is being completely green to resistor carts how can I get a little more torque out of this thing? It still has the stock motor seems to go plenty fast with the 22" tires just want to be able to pull a small trailer and tackle a few small hills. Thanks for the help.
