Default 2008 48v powerdrive charger not charging

reset button on charger keeps popping as soon as it begins to charge. Borrowed another charger and working fine. Im hoping that changing the fuse will solve the problem and keep fuse from triping??

Fuse won't help. You need a heatsink.

PowerDrive model 17930 = Heatsink # 1015914

PowerDrive 2 model 22110 = Diode/Rectifier # 103517601

Easy, there is a manual for the charger as a sticky.

http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...e-charger.html

Do test procedure #4 for the rectifier. Very easy to do and will tell you if it is bad. I am having the same issue with my charger. I tested the rectifier last night and it is showing 459mV at all posts. I ordered a new one ($21) along with a new fuse.

Just did the procedure you recommended to test the rectifier. It is showing 461mv at all posts. Just ordered one for $14. Maybe I should go ahead and order a new fuse too. Thanks man!

I had the same difficulty with my charger. Many thanks to TahoeDawgZ71 and others for the focus on the diode/rectifier. Mine tested bad, and I was able to replace it for $14.00. I would not have found the solution otherwise.
