Thanks for the info scotty. I'll be getting trojans when they crap out, along with a DCX500/HP solenoid and 2 gage wires from you!

Place in Nashville, TN. The Trojans are $160 each plus tax, but they will give me $20 each for my old batts. Local pick-up only though. I think the US batts are $140 each plus tax. If those are comparable to the Trojans, I will go with those.

Yes it's additional cost. You'll need a conversion kit and a new style battery "Bucket" plus batteries. Yes I realize it's expensive, but the price difference between a 2004 that needs to be converted and a 2009 or 2010 already equipped with 8 volts may make it worthwhile for you if you can find a deal when purchasing a used car. Plus, you'll have a car with brand new batteries.
