V glide and speed questions
hey guys,
my cart didnt seem to be living up to its speed potential. After investigating my v glide i think it is the problem this is a pick with the throttle pedal down to the floorboard Should it be right on top of the first bronze peice? also when at rest it sits at the second to last, not last bronze peice? do I need ot adjust it and if so does anyone have any detailed walkthroughs or pictures ot help me do it? thanks! |

Re: V glide and speed questions
At full throttle, the wiper arm should be covering the upper most contact point . . . there is a linkage rod underneath car that has adjustable tie rod ends . . rod is about 1/4" diameter . . also clean and smooth out the contact points in the V Glide . . . make sure vehicle is in TOW mode when working on it . . .

Re: V glide and speed questions
cables look connected correctly. here is a couple pics. first is pedal to the floor, second is pedal released. I also noticed that with no pressure on the pedal the arm barley touched two different panels, and i can pull back on the pedal a bit and it only touches the one. does that matter?
pedal fully engaged no pressure on pedal no pressure on pedal without me pulling it back (slightly toughing two contacts |

Re: V glide and speed questions
ok heres what i realized when playing with the swing arm. It had to touch at least the second to last contact to get the selinoid to click. I set the position of the arm as far forward as it would go while still activating the selinoid. It now reaches halfway on the first post when full throttle is applied. so thats better than it was and I do think it helped. Im not sure what I would do now to further adjust it so that the arm would come in full contact with the first contact, or does it not need full contact? thanks, nick
