Rear differential oil
What kind/how much oil goes in the rear transmission? My cart is a 1996 DS Series. Thanks!

Really! I come up with a teense over 20oz! I also use EP90 in mine. It gets really hot here and when it's below 40F in the Winter, I don't use my cart anyway! For you guys where it's cold, 30w should work fine! Actually the " EP " stands for " extreme pressure ", which is why it is used with gear driven units,ie, differentials.

Oil is for the bearings more than gears, lighter would be better.

 I never questioned the information I copied from another thread and since I haven't opened the differential yet it wasn't an issue. I checked into it and 10 ounces is equal to only 295.735cc and it would take 20 ounces to equal 591.470cc, (21 ounces comes out to 621.044cc). I just figured once I drained the diff, any major difference in fluid volume would be evident.
