Default No power-nothing

Our 2005 precedent cart had a broken positive battery cable end. Upon inspection of the batteries I noticed a large amount of corrosion at the bottom of the center panel that holds the obi etc.. I removed the batteries and cleaned off the corrosion, replaced the positive cable end and mistakenly installed one of the batteries backwards. Now I have no power, no clicking, no back up buzzer. What do I need to do? Where do I start?

Yes. I took it off the charger, flipped switch from tow to run and everything works!, thanks for responding. I am concerned about the amount of corrosion that was built up on the bottom of the center mounting plate. Is this normal?

The corrosion came off in chunks with a screw driver and many of the chunks were an inch thick or larger. This cart is new for us, we purchased in may. Is the corrosion from leaking batteries?
