you need to run all your power wires for lights to the toggle switch and all your ground wires from lights to the neg. terminal of your 12 volt battery......now you also have to run a power wire from the pos. terminal of battery to your toggle switch and a ground wire from toggle to neg. terminal of 12 volt battery............... it really sounds harder than it is........if you can connect all your power wires from lights to 1 point before the switch and than from that point you have one wire from there to switch.......................

I went a different way when I wired up my lights. I installed another 36V solenoid, energised off the key. I ran a wire from my 12v source to a switch on the dash, then to one of the big lugs on the solenoid. The other side of the solenoid to all my lights. All the grounds were landed directly on the minus side of the 12V battery. This keeps me from leaving the lights on accidentally. If the key is off, the lights are off.
