Default 2002 model AA club car stuck throttle...

I have a 2002 model AA electric club car. Couple of weeks ago I washed cart and afterwards noticed the throttle was full speed from the time the solenoid triggered. It is either stopped or going full speed. It has no in between speed. After a week or so of that the throttle has stuck a couple of times. Not every time I get on it but ever so often it sticks. The gas pedal is not stuck though it is free to move and after I press it down a few times it will correct itself. Any insight as to what may be wrong or how to fix the problem would be appreciated...

I had actually looked at the mcor yesterday before post but didn't know exactly what I was looking at... Now that I know, it makes sense... I tried cleaning around the connections and can see how it could possible accumulate dirt and water inside mcor... Looked up prices for a new one and would hate to spend the money if it wasn't the problem.... How can I test to see if the mcor is the problem? Can it be taken apart and cleaned?

So far so good... Took mcor off and it was full of water... A gun holder was previously drilled and attached to floorboard then removed and one of the holes drilled into the top of mcor and it was taking on water from floorboard... Obviously when I washed my cart... Drained it and let it dry for a bit and remounted it and cart is running good as far as having intermediate speed now... Hope this fixes the throttle stick as well... Thanks for your help!!

Do like Laurel and Hardy, drill another hole in the bottom to let the water out!

Now that cart is running with intermediate speed it is not going as fast at full speed as it was before when it was stuck going full speed every time you pressed the pedal especially on an incline... Going very slow on a very little incline... Could this be a problem with the mcor? Has the water ruined it or is this a whole different issue? Cart also seems to go just as fast if not faster in reverse than it does in forward...
